About the Role
As the HR Manager, you will be a key leader at GWC, responsible for the entire employee lifecycle. Your expertise will ensure our practices are best-in-class and legally sound, directly supporting our ambitious business goals and upholding our high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Management & Compliance: Serve as the in-house expert on the BC Employment Standards Act and Canadian labour law, ensuring all company policies and procedures are fully compliant and effectively communicated.
- Talent Recruitment & Development: Manage the full-cycle recruitment process to identify and attract top talent. Onboard and facilitate training initiatives to build a high-performing team.
- Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees, providing guidance on performance management, conflict resolution, and professional development.
- Performance Management: Oversee the performance review cycle, providing leaders with the tools and coaching needed to foster employee growth and achieve business objectives.
- Operational HR Excellence: Oversee all HR administration, including employee records, benefits administration.
- Collaboration: Work closely with GWC’s management team to align HR strategies with business initiatives, providing insights and recommendations on all people-related matters.
Who You Are
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an HR Management role, with demonstrated success in developing and implementing HR strategies.
- Thorough knowledge and practical application of Canadian labour law and the BC Employment Standards Act.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and integrity.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the retail or luxury retail industry.
